St Hilda's Science Building has been completed in just 18 months.
Jun | 2014
Documentation and Construction of St Hilda's Science Building was completed in June 2014 completed in just 18 months. This was a great achievement considering the relative complexity of the building as well as the site constraints.
The expanding Science programme at St Hilda’s and addition of the Year 7 cohort to the senior school instigated the requirement for a new Science facility. The new building is compatible and complimentary to the traditional vernacular of the school buildings.
The responsive design has been articulated to fit into a constrained site, and deal with the scale of the adjacent school building and neighbouring residential buildings.
The building has 11 teaching labs, one General learning Classroom, Staff Room, Technician Preparation area and three Investigation and Workshop rooms as well as Staff and Student amenities.
